Public transport

Melbourne Central train station is a 3 minute walk from us. Or, jump on the 5, 6, 16, 64, 72 tram's towards the city and jump off at the State Library. Check out the public transport journey planner to map out your journey.

Parking

The QV carpark is accessible via Lonsdale St, Russell St, or Little Lonsdale St and offers $17 flat parking after 5pm and $20 all day parking when you spend at any QV Store.

While our challenge rooms are no doubt wonderful, we know our cocktails are just as mesmersing.

So whether you came to play and stayed for the dining experience, or paid us a visit solely for our delicious menu, our amazing bartenders are waiting and ready to whip up the best cocktails, drinks and food around.

Sharing the stage at QV Melbourne, you can find Archie Brother's arcade right next door. With a dazzling circus-themed interior and a wealth of games, claw machines and more, Archie Brothers is perfect for a day full of classic arcade fun. Whether you're one for shoot-'em-ups, a virtual reality enthusiast, or love going against friends in racing simulators, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

For those looking to win big, play on the ticket machines and rack up enough to spend in the redemption shop. And with the claw machine alley front and centre, a take-home plushie or a handful of treats is only a win away!

How does it work?
Get assigned a set of 5 challenge rooms - your goal is to score as many points as you can! When you enter a room, you will be briefed on the objective for each room. Your team will have a set time in each room to score as many points as possible before moving to the next room.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. Our challenge rooms are designed to be fun for everyone over the age of 5 (accompanied by a responsible adult of course!)
Can I just show up?
You can, but fun stuff sells out fast, and we only have a very limited number of walk-ins available. We suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
What should I wear?
Some challenges require moving around the room to score as many points as you can within the time limit. So we recommend clothing that you can comfortably get active in. We're not talking a marathon, think more like a vigorous game of musical chairs...

Do I need to bring my ID

Everyone entering Hijinx Hotel QV Melbourne from 8pm onward is required to have ID.

All guests must have ID on them when purchasing alcoholic beverages.

Can I bring the kids?

Under 18's are permitted into our Hijinx Hotel venue until 8pm, after this time, it is an adult only venue.

Before 8pm, pre-teens and younger children must come accompanied by a responsible adult.

What can we do before and after our activities?

Whether it's before or after your challenge rooms, chill at our Hijinx Hotel bar and enjoy some delicious food, drink, cocktails and snacks.

What time should we arrive for our booking?

Guests are requested to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled challenge room session. This is to allow our team to brief you on the rooms/gameplay and to allow for your session to move in a timely manner!

Feel free to pop in even earlier for some delicious food and drink, or take a stroll around our mesmerising 1920's New York Hotel venue. How about some Hijinx Hotel slippers?
